Trouble in paradise.

So, haven't been around for a few days. I decided to tag along with my mum and go down to Dorset to spend a couple of days with my grandparents.

It's funny, moments and opportunities to go and see them always arise at the most convenient times. I love Dorset for the main reason, of course other than seeing my grand-folks, is that it is quiet. Very quiet. And I can just not worry or think for a few days, and then when I come back, it's quite a shock, but it's worth it.

So basically when we go and see them we don't really do much. We got there and my granddad thought we should go for a nice, calm stroll down a beach near them, Lyme Regis. It was a nice little afternoon, smooth drive down the quaint little streets to the car park, the winter sun's rays shining as if from Heaven through the clouds...

And then, there was a bit of drama. Police?! Tape?! Blocked road along the beach?! Whaaaaa.....?

We walked down the beach, avoiding the police taped bit by walking around it on the pebbles. We then realised we were walking back on the blocked off area, but my grandparents were feeling a bit of rebellion that day, and didn't seem to mind. But what could it be...?

Oops. My apologies to beach huts 15 and 16.

How dodgy is that though? The crane had tipped off the edge. There was no blood on the cracked windscreen though, so I don't think anyone was hurt!

Anywhoo, that explains pretty much how eventful the rest of my few days have been...Dorset was beautiful though as usual. Here's one more. Courtesy of my crappy phone. See the Heavens?

Until next time...

And so another weekend almost over...

...And I'm happily in bed. It's currently 3pm. I love Sundays...

Not much to report of the weekend. Although I have found a new love in the form of a song. It really helped me cope with the 9 hour shift I had to work on Saturday, which I proudly survived on 2 hours sleep, and a hangover from hell. You know, one of those hangovers where not only are you fighting off the headache and the nausea, but also the really bad blurred memories, and the "wait...what happened there?" bits. Not good.

Today's hangover has been helped with copious amounts of tea, a bacon-sausage-egg sandwich and Sufjan Stevens. Expect plenty more cures over my posts to come.

I've got some making up to myself to do...

So definitely, totally, completely, positively did NOT post everyday, or anything, for that matter, since my last and first post. Well, now is time for the change. I have spent all day locked indoors, drinking tea and writing, and I'm on a roll. This needs to just now keep going forever...

I feel pressure under promising great things, so despite what my info says or any of my posts, I will just simply do my best, and see what happens...

Here's another drawing. I'm thinking this blog will mainly be drawings. But sooo what? I like to draw.

Happy weekend x

The result of a hangover.

So, today seems to have been an alright kinda day. This is of course, what I can gather from the few glimpses out of my window, taken when I felt capable of moving without summoning up a reflex of puke.

As I suffered a heavy, red wine-induced hangover, I decided to stay calmly in my bed, but managed to draw something. I guess that's one productive thing, yes?

Here it is. Happy Saturday!

I have a slight obsession with old couture photographs, so expect lots of drawings like this. This particular image is taken from a French Vogue from 1954. The dress is Christian Dior, entitled "Zemire". The model, Nancy Berg. Photographed by Clifford Coffin. What a name.

Hello there.

How do you do?

For my first post I am keeping things short and sweet. Well, saying that, it probably won't turn out to be.

Firstly, welcome. It is a pleasure to have you.

Secondly, I hope you end up liking my blog, and I appreciate you still being here. In case you didn't get from my "about me", I created this just to pop up one little thing from my day, whether it be really pretty, really tasty, really intriguing, or just down right cool. I would give out free cake if I could, but ehh, you can't have it all.

I thought I would begin with an insight into me. Today I have been listening to this:

My friend said it reminds him of me.

I also like things like this:

The first was taken from my garden, on a nice evening. The second from a trip to Czech Republic with my friends. The third from a snow day over a year ago. I heard it is set to snow next week, and this picture is keeping the hope alive. I love snow days.

I feel like I am in a highly difficult situation. The pressure of the first post. Give away enough, but not too much...

For now I will leave it there, and pray you return tomorrow. It's Friday, and things can only get better.
